Many people take part in LPA's diverse mix of educational workshops and outdoor activities throughout the year.

A newsletter detailing the all our events is distributed in March using the Sandoval Signpost's mailing list.

• May - Placitas Open Space Plant Hike
• September - Diamond Tail Ranch Hikes
• Oct. - Star Party
• Spring and Fall - Trail building and maintenance in the Placitas Open Space
• All year - lectures on local interests and hikes to local areas
